Browse the table of seminars below to find out what’s on at this year’s Create Conference, and take a look at the details of the seminars on offer.

In addition to the program below, you can book a 20 minute one-on-one session to have your website, graphic design or presentation critiqued by our presenters. These will run concurrently with the program below. If you wish to attend a critique session, you should also select a session from the electives in the program that are on at that time and attend that elective before and/or after your critique session. Limited spaces are available for critique sessions so register now!

We’d like to think all our seminars and workshops help you with all three of the focal points, namely:

Topical areas

Understanding the times

Create Conference is about bringing Jesus to the age we live in. We may know the gospel, but we also need to understand the times. We’re delighted to present a range of seminars that help us better understand Australia in the 21st Century. We hope that all our seminars are in some way related to this important task. However, some seminars fit more squarely into this role. We’ve coded seminars and workshops that have a real focus on ‘Understanding the times’ with a U.

Generating good ideas and messages

Christians are made in the image of a creative God. We, and the universe we occupy, were once in the mind’s eye of the ‘Ancient of Days’. Incredibly, God conceived of all creation before it existed. Such is the power and majesty of creativity directed with purposeful love. Yet being in God’s image doesn’t mean we’re all gifted alike. Some of us are better than others at thinking up creative ways to express the great truths of the gospel. But there’s no need to resign ourselves to the status quo. We can work at being better and more able in a whole range of areas. Create Conference helps you to do just this. Seminars and workshops with a special focus on ‘generating good ideas and messages’ are coded with a C.

Packaging them relevantly

We live in a world that expects to hear messages communicated at a certain standard. There’s nothing virtuous in being outdated or ignorant about new technologies or insights into communication. Create Conference wants to help people ‘Promote Jesus’. So, given that Christians worship Jesus, the master communicator, it would be a sad irony if our attempts to communicate were needlessly poor. Create Conference equips Christians to simply do a better job at packaging in a whole range of areas from visual and verbal through to the very spaces we meet in. Seminars and workshops with a special focus on ‘Packaging good ideas and messages’ are coded with a P.
